Pipe Connection
★ Follow these essential steps for a secure pipe socket connection:
1. Thoroughly clean both the pipe socket and the fitting socket before proceeding with bonding.
2. Measure and mark the socket depth accurately on the pipe port to ensure a precise fit.
3. Apply adhesive starting with the socket, followed by the fitting, ensuring even and appropriate coverage.
4. Align properly, insert to the marked depth in one motion, and rotate a quarter turn for secure adhesion.
5. Remove any excess adhesive from the socket for a clean and tidy finish.
6. Allow the bonded pipe to stand undisturbed until the interface has fully cured.
★ Adhere to these safety guidelines for adhesive use:
1. Use adhesives and cleaning agents exclusively as needed, restricting access to trained operators only.
2. Ensure no open flames are present at the bonding site and maintain adequate ventilation at all times.
3. Avoid construction activities if temperatures drop below -10ºC, and do not use fire to dry adhesive points.
4. Construction staff must wear protective gloves. In case of accidental adhesive contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately.
Installation Instructions
Saw Pipe and Groove:
Determine the sawing length based on precise measurements and fitting dimensions. Use fine-tooth saws, cutters, or pipe cutting machines to achieve a clean cut. The section must remain undistorted. For a secure fit, file the socket to a 15°-30° groove, maintaining a groove length of at least 3mm, with thickness being 1/3-1/2 of the pipe wall. Clear away debris post-groove for optimal adhesion.
Socket Protection:
After socket connection, clean any extruded adhesive residue with a dry cloth or cotton yarn dipped in detergent like acetone. Allow the joint to cure statically, considering adhesive nature and weather conditions. In winter, extend the curing period for best results.
